As London is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world, no matter what type of cuisine you wish to try out, you can find it here. While many of these are Michelin-starred eateries which house the best chefs in the world, many are well within the range of a budget traveller.
Like so many things in London, the West End is where you will find many of its restaurants. The streets of Soho are peppered with restaurants, more so than its neighbour Covent Garden. Kebab shops and fast-food joints serve endless drunken Londoners every weekend after midnight, while just around the corner from the square is Chinatown.
If you want to try something different, take the journey to London’s West End. The Shoreditch and Hoxbury areas that house so many bars are also where you will discover some of the city’s best places to eat, and London’s infamous ‘Brick Lane’, home to over 50 curry houses, is in this part of town also.
If you happen to be with someone else during your stay in the English capital, pubs can be good places to venture to. Many pubs promote ‘2 for 1’ deals where you can get two main courses for around £7. A lot of these can be found in and around the West End where eating is otherwise expensive.
